I am a scientist with a relatively new passion for photography. Got my first camera (digital) two years ago, and have been hooked ever since. I shoot with a Nikon D70, a Nikon 18-70mm, a Tamron 70-300, and a Tamron 200-500mm.

As my nickname implies, I'm particularly fond of macro and closeups - but I continually strive to expand my horizons. My personal favorites are in my "highlights" gallery. I live in Pasadena with my wife and two kids (featured in the "faces" gallery).
